Objective: Apply the fundamentals of team leadership

Assessment: Students will identify 5 C-suite roles using the HIM career map and determine the certification needed to obtain the roles.

Case Study

Until recently, the healthcare C-suite did not have an HIM voice. Now, there are a variety of C-suite positions that an HIM professional with proper education could fill.

1. Identify at least five of these C-suite roles and provide a brief 3-5 sentence description of the role.

2. Determine what AHIMA credential(s) would correlate with the positions.
