CDC wonder helps professionals in decision making, priority setting, program evaluation, and resource allocation.

Here I am taking “health risk behaviour” resource from CDC WONDER.

CDC WONDER provides information about health risk behaviour among US population through surveillance. It surveys the US population for behaviours risking the health, chronic health conditions and preventive measures. By getting information about the behaviours and attitudes of the public that could risk their health I can predict which diseases will be more common among them.

For eg, if I am working with population who are chronic smokers than l would know that they will be more prone to respiratory and cardiovascular problems. This will help in tailoring the treatment plan according. Also I can educate them about harmful effects of smoking through various educational programmes and rehabilitative activities. This will help prevent disease and promote wellness.
