Being a pediacry nurse , i love to use the Kangaroo mother care in my practice of caring neonates and i consider it as a best practice . It has many benefits such as promotes attachment and bonding , weight gains of low birth weight baby , improves parenteral confidence , helps to promote increased milk production , decreased nenonates infection and problems etc , less expensive ,also it has psychological benefits .

Method - 40 LBW neonates were evaluated to see whether KMC with additional opportunities to breastfeed improved weight gain.

Results: In the KMC group, the mean age of regaining birth weight was significantly less (15.68 vs. 24.56 days) and the average daily weight gain was significantly higher (22.09 vs. 10.39 g, p < .001) than controls.

Yes ,the research findings supported the conclusion and the best practice .
