Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease caused by mechanical wear and tear on joints.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease in which the body's own immune system attacks the body's joints.

Joint characteristics soft, warm, tender, joints hard and bony

Systemic effects Frequent fatigue and general feeling of being ill present No whole body symptoms are present.
