Research refers to the extensive work to find new things. It is done in a systematic way in order to find new facts and ideas. Before initiating any research it is important for a researcher to find a statement of interest. A logical reasoning using both inductive and deductive is done to draw conclusions. All the information gathered should be truthful and reliable and it must be done in a controlled environment. The different types of research includes Quantitative,qualitative, Basic research,applied research. Research design is a process of making a blue print by the researcher that includes the methods used to collect data, the tool used for data collection,statistical inferences. Types of research designs includes Experimental design, exploratory design,cross sectional,historical,observational design, cohort design. The researcher must identify the research design based on the type of research process.
