mediastinum.

Function ; Heart act a s a pumping center to pump blood to all tissues in the

body to meet the oxygen and nutrient demand of tissues and take

away toxic substances and body wastes.

2) Kidney.

Location ; Kidneys are located in retroperitoneal region on either side of the spine

in the lumbar area.

Function ; Maintain fluid-electrolyte balance through Glomerular filtration,Tubular

reabsorption and Tubular secretion.

Elimination toxic products and wastes produced in the body as a byproduct

of metabolism.

Helps in RBC production by synthesize erythropoietin (Hormone responsible for

erythropoiesis or RBC production).
