Many herbal products available in pharmacies as supplementary vitamins, minerals etc. are also coming under CAM. Studies proved that women are more likely to use CAM than men.

Women tend to be more active in their own health promotion and are more concerned about health issues compared to men. So, health concern is a reason for the willingness of women to use CAM.
