Functionalism theory :

It says that society is a complex system and these system parts work together to promote stability and strong and strength.

These theory was given by two theorists those are ' Herbert Spencer' and 'Robert Merton'.

And also they says that society is a system it is interconnected with the parts those parts work together to maintain equilibrium or balance of society.

* the main concept or perspectives of this theory is structural and functional theory, because it focuses on the ways of social structures meet the social needs.

Ex : social institutions.

According to this theory gender differences in health are based on their beliefs and cultural habits in the society they will receives health care.

* according to this theory if we will give gender preference to male they will feel previlage and Power.

* in this theory say more importance given to the men's.

* the critiques think patriarchism is the critique of functionalism.

* and failure to account for social change, and individual agencies.

* so that it called as consensus theory.

*It forget the inequalities in race and gender and classes which causes the tension conflict.
