Tacos MUT, PT Coke Muc MUT 24 MUC/ PC 1 10 2 20

The utility maximization condition is:

MUT / PT = MUC / PC

From the table it is seen that MUT / PT = MUC / PC = 3 when 4 units of Tacos and 3 units of Coke is purchased.

The total expenditute = ($4 * 4) + ($2 * 3) = $22

Thus, Carol maximizes utility by consuming 4 tacos and 3 cokes.
