One of the most important process for cost estimation is the parameters used for cost estimation. If the project is more sensitive to the parameters used in the estimation, then the estimation could be done dependent on the parameters in consideration. In real world, there is a high case for complexity and hence sensitivity analysis is important to gauge a wide variety of estimates.
