Hepatitis B infection
The infectious disease process has an agent which causes the disease ,a reservoir to stay and multiply, it has a entry and exist point ,mouse if transmission and immunity to fight it
Here the infectious agent is the Hepatitis B Virus, which is found multiplying in the liver,It enters and exists the host mainly through the blood contamination transmitted by contact with infected blood ,needle stick injury,having sexual relationship with the infected person.Body doesn't create a enough fighting mechanism to encounter this so to help immune system to control the disease immunoglobulin are administered in the acute phase of infection.
The patient with disease has the following changes identified in an assessment
The care is collaborated as interdisciplinary team including a physician,infection control practitioner and nurses in providingcare
The care is mainly concentrated on infection control and transmission, vaccination and use of immunoglobulin in infected patient .
The complication are cirrhosis of liver,liver cancer,chronic Hepatitis B infection.
