What is the difference between a single-step (cross-sectional) and multistep survey? Explain the purpose of each type of survey and when they would be used.

Survey vis Single-step-the process of collection of data based on the reasearch questions.

In single step or cross-sectional survey the data is collected prorG from an individual basis or in a group, but within a single contact.

For the from example using single questionnaires or face to face interview. The purpose of single-step survey is to generate self report data for the research. It is conducted for the purpose of the data collection for primary need.

In case of Multi-step survey the data collection is conducted from the multiple contacts. For the example data collection by Delphi technique. The purpose of Multi-step survey is to identify the group opinion or disagreement in the huge population about an issue.
