Answer #1

ANSWER.

23. Based on label

   * Total diluent recommended for dilution of Amoxicillin = 78 ml.

       * Dosage strength of the prepared solution = 125 mg per 5 ml.

* Calculation of amount (ml) of Amoxicillin administer as per order.

Formula = Desired dose / Dose in hand * Quantity.

                       Desired dose (D) = 375 mg (Q8hr).

                   Dose in hand (H) = 125 mg.

                            Quantity (Q) = 5 ml.

          As per formula

             Amount (ml) of Amoxicillin need to be administered = D / H * Q.

                                                                                                = 375 /125 * 5

                                                                                                = 3 * 5

                                                                                                = 15 ml.(Every 8 hours).
