Would it be desirable to avoid having criminals - drug dealers or gamblers - own sports franchises? How could this be prevented if the stock of sports franchises were traded publicly?

it can actually be mentioned that it is indeed desirable for criminals are drug dealers to stay away from the sports franchises and this is because of the fact that this would lead to do more crime activities as sports gatherings are considered mass and this is not good one considered the Welfare of the economy. If the stocks of the sports franchises are publicly traded then what happens is that many of the stock dealers might get to purchase the stocks who are common people as a result of the scholarship lies with the mass group of people representing most of the commoners all in all Anderson actually the criminals or drug dealers from owning the franchise.
