1.Chemotherapeutic drugs are used to treat cancer patients. This has a simple action by destroying the rapidly dividing cancer cells.They naturally are prepared in a way to destroy only the cancer cells and not the normal healthy cells.

The innovation of this deadly disease treatment is very new and is even less than a century. It was in 20th century during the world war 2, the nitrogen mustard cane into light when it had the capability to destroy the shore blood cells.

The pharmacologist in 1940 used this product for treating lymphoma and got a positive result by controlling the abnormal cells in mice. It also showed some effectiveness in the non Hodgkin's lymphoma patients. This was official declared in the year 1946.

Pathologist Faber and his team members discovered the methotrexate which showed its effectiveness in acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients

Vinblastin and vincristine was from effect since 1960 showed good result for Hodgkin's disease and leukemia in children respectively

In simple the invention of antifolates ,6MP ,vinca alkaloids came into use one after other and still in usec.It is used as combination therapy since the 1900 which has improved the prevention of death rate because of cancer.

The most recent research being the invention of the drug called as Larotrectinib in treating the fibrosarcoma most effectively.
