It is recommended that your daily sodium intake be less than 2,300mg per day unless you are increased risk of hypertension, then you should take in less than 1,500 mg per day.

These guidelines for daily salt intake is provided by the American Heart association because excessive salt intake is one of the big risk factors for high blood pressure and heart diseases.

Limiting your salt intake can dramatically reduce the risk of Hypertension.
