Rhonda works in the community as part of a team that assists people with activities of daily living and personal care tasks. As part of her role Rhonda needs to communicate service information to the people she provides care to and their significant others. Every week Rhonda assists an eighty-year-old man named Jack with his showering and grooming.

Jack and his family are always muddling up his various services and becoming concerned that he is being billed incorrectly. To decrease the confusion Rhonda has arranged a small family meeting to go over the service information and address their concerns.

Answer) In order to decrease the confusion, Rhonda needs to communicate clearly and in timely manner with the family. She also has to keep in mind not to release any confidential information about the patient. However, she should prepare the record of documents regarding all the services that she had provided to Jack in past few months, along with the billing details of these services. In addition to this, she must inform the family members about the various plans of the services provided and also if there are any additional charges for some extra services. This will make the family members more comfortable while you can explain them your records and billing details along with the proper background knowledge.
