Then, 40 units = 0.4 ml

(1÷100= x÷40

X=40÷100=0.4 ml)

For 40 units take 0.4 ml in insulin syringe.

Prescribed dose= 0.5 mg thrice a day

Total dose per day= 0.5× 3=1.5 mg

Total dose for 5 days=1.5× 5=7.5 mg

If 1ml= 3 mg

Then 7.5 mg= x

Using proportion method

1 ml/3 mg= X ml/7.5mg

3X= 7.5 mg

X= 7.5 ÷ 3=2.5 ml

So total dose in millilitres required to administer for 5 days = 2.5 ml
