Minerals are inorganic substances required by the body in small amounts to perform variety of bodily functions

The below are the dietery recommendations

1. Calcium: 1000 mg per day to be consumed for an adult . Available from milk, Dark green leafy veggies, fish etc.

2. Phosphorus: 700 mg per day is required. it is in chicken, pork, Seafood, Dairy, Seeds, Nuts, Whole grains, Beans & lentils etc

3. Potassium: 3500 to 5000 mg per day. Banana, Dates, Beans, Dry fruits, Mango and pomogranite, pumpkin, Tomato etc.

4. Sodium: 2300 mg per day: Canned meat, Fidh, salted nuts, beets, Spinach etc

5. Magnesium: 420 mg per day. Almonds, Cashews, Cereal, Beans, pitato, Rice, Yoghurt, Milk egg

6. Iron:  19 to 20 mg per day. Cereals, beans, lentils, tofu, spinach, dried fruits, prune juice, broccoli etc.

7. Iodine: 150 mcg per day. Iodised salt..brocoli, pumpkin deed, Brazil nut, beef etc.

8. Zinc: 11 mg per day. Meat, Shellfish, legumes, Dairy, While eggs egg.
