The EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act) was initiated in 1986 to provide care to all patients during emergency irrespective of any background, in simple proving care in a non discriminatory way to all who approach a hospital for healthcare service during the emergency situations or in a critical situations. Though the knowledge of having insurance as a must to get medical services, there are still people without insurance coverage who are at risk for no healthcare services.In order to prevent this or save their life EMTALA is very essential or in simple we still need EMTALA.
