a. Lifestyle plays a major role in most of the illnesses in industrialised nations . Lifestyle‐related illnesses also contribute to the rising costs of healthcare. So here individual responsibility comes  into play . Individual responsibility basically aims towards lifestyle Modification. It includes  quitting smoking and Drinking . An individual should follow healthy eating pattern which consist of intake of well balanced diet and avoiding junk food and processed food. To maintain good health , one should indulge oneself in age appropriate level of physical activity as sedentary lifestyle also invites many diseases. Above all, an individual should abide by government’s policy related to healthcare as an individual is responsible for the society he is living in too.

b. Many of the healthcare strategies address problems that are beyond the ability of individuals to deal with. While individuals often have the ability to take care of their own health, they lack the ability to promote health at the population or environmental level. so appropriate interventions need to be adopted at national level. Government action is required to monitor diseases, control infections, engage in urban planning, guarantee the safety of food and drugs, minimize pollution and sponsor basic biomedical research. Due to low economic status also, many citizens are not able avail health care facilities so government should focus on enrollment of maximum individuals under health insurance.
