Asthma is a chornic respiratory condition that is characterized by uneasiness and difficulty in breathing. The individual managing asthma requires various resources for its treatment, prognosis and positive outcomes.

According to the American Asthma Association the individual diagnosed with asthma can promote self-management through use of adequate adtham management plan that includes, proper administration of medicines, and routine medical visits. The individual requires to assess and monitor the control for symptoms related to excerbation. Individual requires appropriate knolwedge regarding the choice of medicine and the mechanism of the medication he is taking, this provides them to manage the symptoms well.

Asthma is mainly associated with triggers, and managing the triggers is essential in self-management of asthma, where any factor such as drugs, dust, cold, aerosol, etc. can trigger the reaction and therefore, should be prevented.

Moreover, to achieve positive outcomes for asthma management use of proper inhalers and bronochodialator medications as well as preperation of an emegency kit for use is required, to overcome any acute attack.
