A dissertation topic must emerge from a gap, need, or tension in the empirical research literature, not from a personal experience or an attempt to solve a personal problem. Why do you think this is so? 150 words please

Answer: The dissertation topic must emerge from a gap, need, or tension in the empirical research literature, not from a personal experience or an attempt to solve a personal problem because there are some ethical consideration regarding the research. The empirical research literature based on the psychology as well as the sociology. There could be vast and majority of the differences in this case. Personal experience shows only one side perception but the empirical research involves various concern.

The another thing is that the research should be professionally competence. It means the dissertation topic can be utilized for the further research which can benefit a large section of people. Research is performed to know the depth and conditions which can not be describe through one person experience. It requires majority of views and ideas
