Imagine a situation where you believe there has been an abuse of a client, but your provider/employer says, “Leave it alone. Don’t get involved.” Based on what you’ve read, what, if any, steps would you take, and why?

Every client in healthcare deserves to get a right and appropriate treatment and should not be subjected to any abuse by anyone. If any healthcare professionals or others dies this in a client they are subjected to liability for their action.

If a provider does the abuse report it to the hospital administration who handles the harrassment in the healthcare sector. Otherwise it has to be reported to the State Medical Board about the provider who did the abuse.So that appropriate actions will be taken by them on the provider.

In case of an employer it has to be reported to the State Department of the Health Service .

Usually a telephonic call or an email is sufficient to report to the concerned authorities and bring it to their notice for taking legal actions.
