How would you describe the key opportunities and challenges for gerontology in the next decades? What public policies (federal and state) will support the capabilities of an interdisciplinary gerontological workforce equipped to meet the needs of a more diverse older adult population?

The older population are focused on maintaining their health as they get older.As days and years pass we all become age and our muscles and bones become weak ,eye sight and hearing will be lost,our ability to walk will be limited so many problems will be faced .so we will lose our confidence to do something ,feel like we are good for nothing etc .Lack of shelter,fear,depression,isolation are the other problems faced by elderly.

The number of elderly population will increase in next decades and they will face the same problems .so elderly population should be supported by the government and their should be some groups that could help old people .Chronic diseases and disability should be prevented .so that an healthy old generation can be gifted .education should be provided to the public .so we should strongly support for a active age population in the coming decades.
