Renal calculi is the formation of stones in the renal cavity.These are the hard deposits of minerals and acid salts.Most common signs and symptoms are nausea, vomiting and severe abdominal pain.Treatment can be given with pain relievers.Provide more amount of fluids.Also lithotripsy can be performed to break the stones.

Low fat diet can be given for the patients with renal calculi. Provide more amount of citrus drinks, calcium rich food, low protein diet, low salt diet.Lab values such as blood urea nitrogen, creatinine levels , electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, chloride are monitored.

Polyesterene sulfonate is a medication class that binds with potassium in the digestive system which helps your body to prevent absorbing too much potassium.This is actually used to treat high levels of potassium in the body.
