1. The first management of obesity includes Lifestyle and dietary modifications. It includes an active lifestyle and daily physical exercise, low fat and low-calorie diet. The U.S. FDA advises Beta-methyl-phenylethylamine which known as fastin for the treatment of obesity, it increases metabolism and reduces body fat. Orlistat also given to treat obesity, it decreases fat absorption.

2. The first long term complication of obesity includes Cardiovascular diseases. Obesity is the greatest risk factor of cardiovascular diseases includes Coronary heart disease, peripheral artery diseases, and stroke. Excess fat and cholesterol increase the chance of plaque formation in the arteries and also increases chance of hypertension which causes cardiovascular diseases.

The second longterm complication of obesity is Type 2 Diabetes. In obesity, there are excess fatty acids in the blood stream which increases insulin resistance and damage beta cells of the pancreas which causes type 2 diabetes.
