Answer #1

Congenital syphilis is the syphilis that can occur any time during pregnancy in uterine life or any time at the birth from a mother who is infected with syphilis.

EIA test is called as Enzyme Immuno sorbant Assay Test. This is the test used to diagnose syphilis infection by identifying the antibodies. This EIA test for screening congenital syphilis is not that effective to diagnose. So always this test which has a positive result for Enzyme immuno sorbant Assay test for Trepenoma/Syphilis. Positive for Antibodies. Negative for Antibodies. Rapid Plasma Reagisyphilis antibodies should always accompanied with further tests such as RPR (Rapid Plasma Reagin) and VDRL(Veneral Disease Research Laboratory ) tests. This test is actually not effective to diagnose new born or congenital syphilis unless with the combined tests.
