Answer: The relationship between nursing research and nursing theory and practice involves as the the nursing theory is the result of the research and the theory is being used in the research. It means both are dependent on each other. The research is a kind of inquiry which brings out the better evidence to support the theory. Research ideas are being analysed with the help of theories, clinical practice etc. The nursing research improves the nursing practice as it provides platform for the healthcare professionals to provide better treatment.

The nursing research and nursing theory and practice are interrelated and hence completes each other. But the major role they play together is to enhance the method of delivery of care. Nursing research is the experiments that has been performed to increase the information and practice. Research is also perfomed by involving the nursing theory. Nursing theory provides guidance to the healthcare professionals to indulge themselves in reducing error, increasing efficiency of the treatment. Hence both nursing research and nursing theory depends upon each other.
