Health equity is defined as "attainment of the highest level of health for all people".Minnesota consistenyly ranks as one of the healthiest states in the nation because it helps it's population to attain all the social determinants of health in a efficient way .

Its absolutely correct to say that health depends on who you are and where you are because these are the major determinant which affects the health of an individual . Who you are means - in what phase are you of the human being like child , adolescent , adult or old age etc , and where you are means - where do you live , the environment around you . These two factors affect health very much for example :-

1. An aged individual is more prone to disease because his or her immunity to fight against disease is decreased with age .

2. An individual living in a slum area is more prone to disease than those who live a hygienic area .
