Today the health care sectors are looking for a rapid changes in all the areas ,so leadership and a selection of an effective leadership style is very important to achieve the best organizational goal and to provide an quality services in the health care settings .This is because leaders can play a powerful role in coordinating the activities among the health care workers and the leadership style help the leader to play the role effectively inorder to achieve the goals and to provide effective services.
Basically the leadership style are of 3 types and include Autocratic style,democratic style and Laissez fair.the autocratic type take decision without involving the participants or employees,in democratic type leader involve employees or participants in decision making and in Laissez fair leader avert responsibility but doesn't make any decision . among these each have the ability to improve the poorly structured organization .it is very necessary and to change the leadership style based on the situation to maintain the health care services and health care administration in position.so it is a very crucial step in selecting the appropriate leadership style ,because it is strongly co related with quality care and associated measures.
The both leaders and leadership style is a core element for strengthening the overall organization of the health care setting .it is also releated to patient outcome by promoting staff through increased staff,reduced turnout etc .so effective leadership has an indirect impact on reducing mortality rates by inspiring, retaining and supporting staffs.Although there are many advantages and disadvantages in all the leadership style and different leadership style provide different outcomes,so there is a need of adaption in leadership style based on the different factors in health care organization.
