The task force and the community of Finnytown and Nurse Georgia B should be aware of of the effects of poverty on the health of children in Finnytown. There are several factors that should be consider while planning effective appropriate services . The main key indicators are infant mortality, low birth weight, asthma, overweight and obesity, injuries, mental health problems and lack of readiness to learn.Child poverty is not only an economic or political problem.it is also an ethical issue and a matter of social justice and is increasingly recognized as a significant public health concern.

Infant mortality is the important key indicator of social health and wellbeing, not only to levels of wealth but also to its relative distribution .Low birth weight are at increased risk of dying inthe first year of life. there are several factor as a group that is higher rates of rehospitalization,below normal growth, childhood illnesses, neurological problems, developmental problems and health related limitations..Asthma is the next important and chronic respiratory childhood condition..the higher rates of asthma in lower income families may due to higher rates of low birth weight and lower rates of breast feeding, exposure to environmental pollutants also been suspected.Overweight and Obesity in childhood carries negative health consequences ranging from poor self esteem to asthma, obesity and type2 diabetes.Injuries are a leading causeof death and hospitalization among children because of intentional and unintentional and higher among socioeconomically disadvantaged families.Mental health problems in children are associated with poorer social relationship, lower academic achievement and reduced physical functioning. Lack of readiness to learn can affect cognitive and psychosocial development and result in low academic achievement and grade attainment.
