Need help with... What is the difference between qualitative and quantitative analysis? Explain the terms from a Laboratory/Pathology perspective. Give an example of each.

Answer: Qualitative analysis is the measurement or the analysis which is based on the data that doesn't include the numerics. It can be obtained through experiences, feelings, opinions etc. For example as in the case of nursing intervention, the data obtained from the patient side such as feeling nausea, severe abdominal pain, burning sensation etc. These are the qualitative analysis.

The quantitative analysis depends upon the numerics such as body temperature more than 37 degree celcius. Blood pressure after measurements 140/90mmHg. So these are the quantitative data that are used for the analysis.
