Each fall medical facilities take the lead and offer annual flu vaccination to staff members. In many facilities it is mandatory. If a nurse (or other worker) decides not to have a flu vaccine, then they can spend the entire flu season walking around with a mask on, to protect others. What do you think of this? Should flu vaccination be mandatory? Why or why not? As a Nurse Leader, what are your thoughts?

Getting flu vaccination should be mandatory . It will help to prevent us from flu and getting sick .Not only the healthcare workers are benefited but also the patients are also benefited from it by getting less exposure from the healthcare workers side . We are health care providers ,if we don't follow or take the vaccinations then how will the common people follow our instructions for taking vaccination. We healthcare workers should lead the public towards health promotions and prevention . Taking vaccination will help in reducing the number of diseased ones and help on the overall growth and development of our country by increasing productivity .
