1. # The components of renal diet are:-

- limit protein intake

- sodium in the diet should be limited

- potassium ,phosphorous and calcium should be restricted

- get the calories from simple carbohydrates like rice , Poha etc .

- limit fluid intake

# The patients with renal failure are put on renal diet .

# There is not much difference in the diet if a patient with pre end stage renal disease and ESRD because pre ESRD also means renal failure but not the same as end stage renal disease ,the glomerular filtration rate in pre ESRD is much more better than ESRD . So, the diet is same only the difference is there is much more restrictions and strict following of the renal diet in ERSD than pre ESRD stage .

2. According to this article ,the people who are at risk of protein deficiency are teenage girls who don't eat properly and elderly people who are at risk of losing muscle mass and appetite often slackens with age .
