3) It is given that Sam takes 30 minutes to change the oil in a car and one shift is of 8 hours, that is , 480 minutes.So, if Sam only changed oil in one shift, then he will be able to complete changing oil in (480/30) = 16 cars.

So Sam will be able to do 16 oil changes in a shift.
