Answer: Metabolic syndrome is not a disease but a group of abnormalities which occurs in the functioning of the body system. The major risk factors are hypertension, high blood sugar level, high cholesterol level as well as excessive accumulation of fat. Obesity is one of the major risk factors as it give rise to many other diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and hypertension. The increased BMI rate is the major issue of concerned. Age, family history of metabolic syndrome, PCOS contributes major factors in the metabolic syndrome.

The modification in lifestyle can bring a lot of changes in the metabolic syndrome as including physical exercise as well as healthy and maintained diet may result in a reduction of the symptoms of the syndrome. Eating nutritious foods as well as avoiding caffeinated drinks and junk food also influences the health condition. A minimum of 35 minutes of daily exercise can do magic in maintaining proper weight along with a healthy diet.
