also known as blue pill.

Indications.....Erectile dysfunction

Pulmonary hypertension.

Phatmacokinetics....Rapidly absorbed

peak plasma concentration

Metabolized by the liver

Excreted primarily in the stool

Pharmacodynamics...Slidenafil protocts cyclicguanosine monophosphate from degradation by cGMP specific phosphodiesterase type 5 in the corpus cavernosum nitrate oxide in the corpus cavernosum binds to guanylate cyclase receptors whuch results in increased levels of cGMP leading to smooth muscle relaxation of the intimal cushions of the helicine arteries.This smooth muscle relaxation leads to vasodilation and increased inflow of blood into the spongy tissue of male part,causing an eraction.

DRUG INTERACTION...

some medicines are not safe to take with viagra.Viagra should not be used in combination with a nitrate drug (for treating chest pain or heart problem) this includes nitroglycerin,isosorbide dinitrates,isosorbide mononitrates,amyl nitrate or nitrate poppers.Taking niagra with a nitrate drug can cause a sudden and dangerous drop in blood pressure.Also if taking alpha blockers such as doxazosin tamsulosin.
