  • What are the main sources of food for these countries? What are gaps in nutrition for these countries?
  • How do social, political and cultural factors affect access to adequate nutrition in each country?
  • Are there groups within the populations of each country that are affected at greater rates? Who are they? Why do you think this is?
  • Does this affect other health issues in each country? How?

Answer :

Nutritional habits of two countries are INDIA and UNITED STATES.

Indian people likes food habits like spicy foods, chapati, chutney, Fresh food daily like rice, high vegetarian and protein food ect.

USA Food habits like beverages, sandwich, potatoes, vegetables, carbonated soft drinks, salty snakes, juices ect.

Sources of Food for Indians, like cereals, pulses, buck wheet, basmath rice, barely, corn, brown rice, white rice, whole grain, grean leafy vegetables, yogut, milk, ghee ect.

Sources of Food for USA like sea foods, fruits and nuts, red meat, vegetables, cheese, milk, ect.

Gaps in nutrients for these countries are

In india those people may do agriculture and they will get all types of sources to food and nutrition.

But in USA there is no own production importation will be there.

So due to that the Indian people meet their nutrientional needs effectively that USA people.

And in USA they will take more fatty diet than India,

Because fresh foods like greanleafy vegetable are less available there, and more cost.

Social, cultural and political factors affect access to adequate nutrition in each country :

In India there are so many different cultural values and beliefs and rules and regulations are their in there taking food and some of the societal affects like socioeconomic problems, and due to poor availability of resources there is a chance to take less nutritious diet by all people.

So that there is a more nutritional deficiency problems may seen in Indian country.

Coming to USA all most all will take good and adequate nutritious diet like meat, milk, cheese, yogut ect. And also all have adequate sources to take food and there is no much more believes related to food intake according there cultural factors.

Like this the cultural, political and social factors may affect the access to adequate nutrition.

Yes there are groups in the population of each country like in India, indoaryans, Dravidian, Mongoloids, and other minority groups, (bramhins, vistas, khudras).

In USA Hispanics, and Latino Americans.

These are the different groups, so different groups are having different types of food habits like some people may take non vegetarian and some may not take and also they will avoid we will take non vegetarian.

So that the nutritional habits are differ from each groups and country.
