Yes. Care can be both high quality ,sometimes inefficient.

Health care should be high quality when:

  • Members of health care system work collaboratively to promote the well being of the patient
  • Use of available resources to improve the condition of patient
  • The deployment of therapeutic communications with patient and harness their confidence by giving reassurance, at the same don't give false assurances
  • The health care system, a technologically advanced one without much high out of pocket expenditure
  • Does not affect the morale of the patient and the care givers

Assignable variation

Distribution of non random result caused by a single identifiable factor with clearly defined characteristics. Such a circumstance can be imminently manageable.

Relevance in quality assessment

  • Random variations used in the health care setting can be used to assess the variations from standard protocol and aporach but cannot be determined what's the actual variations.
  • By using assignable variations, it can be determined the extent of variations from the standard setting and the actual variations and can reduce the variations accordingly.
  • This is used in health care setting and assess and audit the health care standard and how extent, it varied from the standard settings.
  • This could be a motivation factor to improve the quality care
  • It can be applied in mainly in clinical trials and research methodologies
