Answer: ICD codes are generally used to code the diagnosis, treatment, symptoms etc. The tables and the index of the drugs etc make it easier for the healthcare professionals to code or locate accurate code. As these table content of drugs and index to external causes mention about the type of the drug, toxicity it can produce etc. which lead to healthcare professionals to provide better option and selection. This also increases accuracy for locating the ICD 10 CM code by organised information provided by the table of drugs. These codes enables healthcare professionals at the time when there is wrong dose, toxicity produce or any kind of poisoning. These tables and index helps healthcare professionals to design accurate information regarding the treatment.
