Ofcourse yes, I agree with the need to track all denials. It is highly a time consuming process. based on the Advisory report, it is clearly stated in the Journal that, 45 percent of the denial highly occurs in commercial payers, and Medicaid with 41 percent. So, it is mandatory to prevent denial in coding trends and requires effective strategy to overcome these denials. Awareness is the main measure can take to reduce medical coding denial trends. Furthermore, a multidisciplinary team and knowledge sharing is needed to achieve clinical and financial goals. However, transparency of data is really a threat and its affects all aspects of revenue cycle. To overcome this trends in coding, physicians should be educated and also ensure correct coding practices.
