Health and Human Services(HHS) along with federal, state and local levels and the private sector has a crucial role to play in health informatics needs. There are several laws protect personal health information. HITECH act empowers the federal health and human services to promote health IT quality, safety, security information exchange. Many federal and state regulation facility problem towards health informatics due to legislation with patient care and collection and maintenance of patient safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency and agency of health care.
Public and private sector working together to improve national health information infrastructure. the federal government plays a leadership role in many ways like data collection and IT standards. The federal government need support in the main area like federal funds from private-sector stakeholders, providing financial incentives to private sector investment in the EHR system, federal funding for safety network.
