Answer #1

1.Given

Medication :Vasopressin

Route :IM

Dose:10 units /dose

Frequency:6 times a day

Available :20 units=1ml

So 10 units=0.5ml

Ans.0.5 ml is present in each injection

2.Given

Medication :Oxytocin

Route:IV

Starting dose 0.002units/min

Can be increased by 0.001 units /15minutes

Dose to be achieved 0.02 units/min

It will take 5 hours to reach a dose of 0.02units/minute

(In 1 hour=0.004units/min,2 hours=0.008 units/min,3 hour =0.012 unit/min,4hour=0.016units/min,5 hour=0.020units/min)
