Answer #1

Chloroquine is given in Malaria prophylaxis treatment to prevent or suppress it.To be taken before 1 to 2 weeks before being exposed and continue throughout the stay ,then for 4 weeks. It should be taken once a week on the same time probably.

Here the patient spends about 13 weeks which is a high exposure area, so the patient has to taken 13 doses totally ,1 per week for 13 weeks

Therefore

13 weeks=13 doses

1 dose=500mg

So 13 dose will be 500×13=6500mg

Now in simple to calculate the number of tablets

availability is 1 tablet =250mg,so in a day for a dose of 500mg ,2 tablet has to be taken

Therefore for 13 days (13×2)=26 tablets

Ans:Altogether 26 tablets will be administered
