Racism is the belief that that members of separate races possess different and unequal human traits.Race is a social construct that changes over time and across different contexts;based on real or percieved biological differences between groups of people.it is more meaningful to us on a social level than it is on a biological level.However race is still used to classify people,and sometimes race is a basis for differential treatment of individuals or groups of people.They changes over time and never have firm boundaries.

Historically, however entire legal structures were created to prevent African Americans from owning a home,which has had long-term effects on wealth accumulation.Legally enforced segregation of minorities into least desirable neighbourhoods and redlining of minority neighbourhoods. Prevalence of predatory mortgage brokers,who profit from selling high interest loans,in poor minority communities
