Since CO2 is low it indicate respiratory acidosis.

14.Sinch pH is greater, alkalosis

Since HCO3 is greater than normal it indicates metabolic alkalosis.

Since CO2 is greater than normal it indicates respiratory alkalosis.

15.pH is low it indicates acidosis.

CO2 is high hence respiratory acidosis.

Causes of respiratory acidosis

  • COPD
  • Atelectasis
  • Mechanical hypoventilation

Metabolic alkalosis
