There are two different approaches to decision making and is illustrated in various parameters in two different ways. These processes are defined in the ways it illustrates and also depends on the kind of products it offers to customers.Some of the differences are enumerated below:

1.Planning - Business purchases are planned in advance whereas consumers buy products impulsively. In order to streamline the processes, there should be a plan to purchase and also offer purchase to consumers.

2. Decision making - Purchases made by consumers are decided by consumers only while business purchases are made after several approval process. In this case the person is either an agent or an representative.

3.Support - Business purchases needs full support while consumer purchases needs only adequate support.

4. History - The relationship between a vendor and business decides upon the buying decisions. However consumer can take their own decisions and can compare prices themselves.
