Explaination:

Given: 1 unit of PCV= 250 ml

Time required to Infuse= 2 hrs via infusion pump

ml/he = 250 ÷ 2 = 125ml/hr

Explaination:

IVBP infusion

Given: Ranitidine 50 mg every 8 hrs means TDS three times in a day. IV bag contains 50mg in 50 ml NS.

The order is to Infuse 50 ml over 30 mins

30 mins is 1/2 hr

ml/hr = 50÷ 1/2 = 100ml/hr

9) 10hrs

Explaination:

1/2 L of D5NS means 500ml is allowed to run at 50 ml/hr

So, 50ml/hr = 500ml/ x hr

Let x be the time required to Infuse

x= 500/50 = 10hrs

10) 20ml/hr

Explaination:

Order is to Infuse 1000units/hr of heparin.

IV bag contains 25000 units heparin in 500ml D5W

So, ml/hr= 1000/25000× 500 = 20ml/hr
