The reasons that people may not know that they are at risk of getting pre-diabetes or diabetes are due to

• Lack of knowledge about pre-diabetes
• People pays a low attention to control their weight, quit smoking habits, poor dietary habits
• Patient not willing or neglecting to make life style modifications as per the provider's advice
• Denying that they are are not at risk for a development of a disease when a provider informs about their health conditions after viewing their abnormal lab report
